President's Message
As summer is in full swing, I hope you're finding opportunities to enjoy time with family and friends while also taking a well-deserved break from your busy schedules. I know this season can still be demanding for those of us in medical staff services and credentialing, and I want to thank each of you for the dedication, professionalism, and attention to detail you bring to your organizations every day.
The AAMSS board decided to end the contract with AlaHA and we have joined StarChapter. This decision was due to the package we were paying for was only offering the benefit of sending out annual membership invoices. The board didn't feel it was worth the expense. Our launch date for StarChapter is August 18. You will be hearing more about this in the coming weeks.
Serving as your President is truly an honor. Our association continues to grow because of members who are willing to share their knowledge, encourage one another, and invest in our profession. Together, we are building a strong community that supports excellence in medical staff services across Alabama.
As we look ahead, I encourage you to stay engaged by participating in upcoming educational opportunities, networking with fellow members, and sharing your ideas for how AAMSS can continue to serve you. Your
involvement is what makes our association successful, and we welcome both new and familiar faces at our events.
Thank you for your continued commitment to AAMSS and to the important work you do every day. I wish you a safe, relaxing, and enjoyable summer, and I look forward to connecting with you in the months ahead.

Marshall Medical Centers
Hi Everyone!
My career in Medical Staff Services at Marshall Medical Centers began in 1996, and I have been the Director of Medical Staff Services since 2006. We have some of the best Medical Staff Service Professionals (MSSPs) at MMC, and I feel fortunate to be part of such an amazing team.
I joined AAMSS in 2000 and currently serve as a Board Member at Large. I am looking forward to what our AAMSS leadership has been working on for us!
My husband, Brad, and I have a daughter named Campbell. She recently graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Aerospace Engineering. Brad works at Redstone Arsenal and is also Colonel in the Army National Guard. We have 2 puppies, a grumpy Shih tzu named Yoda, a very sweet Aussie doodle named Millie.
I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, beach trips, hanging out by the pool, arranging charcuterie boards, and I recently developed a fondness for watching British TV. We are also big Auburn fans and love to visit the "Loveliest Village on the Plains" often, especially during football season. War Eagle!
